  1. We had a lovely few days break at Alexandra Place, and found the house very spacious and comfortable. Everywhere was sparklingly clean, and the house was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, and the area was so quiet! A lovely base for a short break, and we made the most of the local amenities, and particularly enjoyed our beach walks and lunch/tea/and cakes at the Dingle Hill tearoom at Dunwich!

Thank you for ensuring we had such a lovely stay at your house.

  2. A lovely home from home, perfectly positioned to enjoy Walberswick and the adjoining area. With the local Co-Op less than 50 yards away and a superb deli by the gate we were truly spoiled for food opportunities, not to mention 2 great pubs and an ice cream parlor in walking distance….

  3. We had a lovely stay at Alexandra Place. Clean, well equipped, spacious accommodation in beautiful Walberswick. Great food at The Anchor & The Bell.

  4. We stayed here again this summer and it was as relaxing and lovely as ever. While the weather wasn’t the best year we’ve had, we still enjoyed being in such a tranquil and beautiful place. The house is easy to stay in with plenty of space and comfy beds. The Deli is yummy as ever. Finally got a crab baguette. Everything you need is here. Highlight this year- a walk up into Woods and marshes. We haven’t done that before as it was stunningly beautiful. Can’t wait to return. Thank you.

  5. Walberswick is the most peaceful place we go to and love it! Went to Evensong with a torch and just loved looking up at the stars feel so safe here! Can thoroughly recommend this lovely house and the village it’s warm and comfortable. We will of course return!

  6. Really enjoyed our visit a week ago to celebrate my 60th. The house was lovely, superbly equipped, clean and warm, and is in an ideal spot, a short walk from the Bell and Anchor pubs, and just a few yards from a Coop. We were even blessed with no rain or wind and, although the rest of our party refused to join me, I swam in the sea – wasn’t as cold as I expected. We love Walberswick, and Alexandra Place was a a great place to stay.

    1. A wonderful few days again at Alexandra Place it so comfortable and warm, just love it. Walberswick is the most peaceful place we go to and love it! 7. Had yet another wonderful stay here celebrating our Golden Wedding it is so comfortable, clean and in the centre of the village so near to the well stocked Coop and the nearest pub the Anchor which is great for Sunday Lunch as well as dinner in the evening. Because the house is so modern it’s really warm and as we cook there is nothing missing as far as equipment is concerned. Thank you Nathan and Sue for our stay.

  8. What a wonderful home from home Alexandra Place is! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the property is so well equipped, comfortable and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is easy to understand why people keep coming back! As others have noted, it is very well located in the village, and there are several walks of varying lengths on the doorstep. We sampled the fare at the Bell (excellent), and we can recommend the Black Dog Deli. Parking is a bonus too. Fantastic 5 day break!

  9. I am very reluctant to leave a review as don’t want this lovely house to get booked up! We are experienced self caters all over the country and this was exceptional, well equipped, warm and very comfortable. We have been staying in Walberswick for more than 30 years and staying in the same place for 20 plus. The bonus of Alexandra Place is that it is in the centre of the village and modern , if there was a negative it’s that it doesn’t accept dogs however our daughter enjoys having her and it means she doesn’t join us!! The daughter not the dog!
The walk into Southwold is very pleasant about 40 mins and the Anchor in the village just down the road serves excellent food as does the Bell.
Walberswick is my favourite place as calm peaceful and quiet a tonic in itself!

  10. This was our 2nd visit to this property and we were not disappointed. It is spacious and clean and a lovely space to unwind and relax. Sitting around the huge dining table to enjoy meals, family games or just enjoying a nightcap is a must. It is so close to the beach, quaint seaside shops, pubs and beautiful walks you don’t need to use the car if you have stocked up on esentials. We were joined this visit by our daughter and boyfriend fromLondon. They absolutely loved the crabbing, beach and unwinding in this homely property. We would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back for trip number 3.

  11. This was our 5th stay and we will be back next year aswell. Love the house, the villlage and the Black Dog Deli at the end the drive. House is easy to stay in, plenty of space and well maintained. I didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait for next year!

  12. Excellent property with everything you need for a family friendly holiday let and in a perfect location in wonderful Walberswick. It’s our second visit and there will definitely be more in the future

  13. This is a great house and I cant recommend it too highly. Exceptionally well equipped, brilliant village location close to beach, good pubs, small but well stocked Coop and a fantastic deli all walking or staggering distance away. Will suit families or couple or mates, great woodburner, comfy beds, lots of space

  14. Stayed at this location for the August bank holiday weekend, it was a real delight! Great spot, peaceful in a quaint village. Superb walking area, good pubs serving excellent food, close to the beach and our weather was fabulous all weekend, great bonus!

  15. We love Walberswick and we love staying here. This was our 4th visit and we booked our 5th for next year. There is plenty of room, everything you need and it’s very clean and comfy. Brilliant location too, thanks to the Black Dog Deli being just at the gate.

  16. We had a great stay from 14-20 April 2017. The house has everything we needed and is free of clutter. Just right for 5 of us. Everything is simple to work and communications with Sue and Nathan are excellent.
    We hope to return again!

  17. Dear Sue and Nathan,
We are just back from a very enjoyable stay at No.3 and only wish we could have stayed longer!
We have been using self catering properties in the Southwold/Walberswick area for around 20years (we have family in the village) and your house is the nicest one of all.
We were very comfortable there and hope to stay for longer next time.

  18. This was our third visit to Alexander Place which probably says how much we enjoy staying there!
The house was once again perfect with everything you could want!
The location is also brilliant with only a short walk to the village centre and beach

  19. Had a second visit to Alexandra place. All as good as before. Good communication with owners and house is perfect. Thanks.

  20. Our family loved it here. Perfect house in great condition with excellent wifi and everything you need kitchen wise. It’s also a perfect location only a 5 min walk to The Anchor and village green. We will definitely be back for our now regular October Walberswick experience …

  21. Wonderful stay at 3 Alexandra Place.
Lovely, homely house with all the mod-cons making the stay super easy and very enjoyable. Loads of kitchen space. Great utility room. Lovely bathrooms and comfy beds.
Lovely village. Beautiful deli/bakery/cafe less than 30 seconds walk away. Great food at local pubs – particularly the White Hart (Blythburgh) and the Bell (Walberswick). Wonderful local beach. Beautiful walks. Very peaceful part of UK. Really enjoyed our stay. Very easy, very relaxing, very good holiday.

  22. Had a wonderful two weeks yet again. We do love this house and the village. When we vaguely and momentarily, wondered if we should stay in Southwold next year, the children were disgusted and we rebooked here again. It is homely, comfortable and in a very peaceful setting. The kitchen has everything you need , right down to garlic press and salad spinner… Having a most marvellous deli at the entrance to Alexandra Place, is brilliant. The beach is close by, and the garden is big enough for the kids to play in. We are always sad to leave, and spend the year looking forward to coming back!

  23. We absolutely loved our stay at Alexander Place. The house was perfect for us and the kids with everything we needed. Walberswick is a fantastic place… We spent a day on the bikes and many hours crabbing! We loved it so much we have just booked to go back!! The only disappointment was the rugby, but can’t really blame that on the house!!

    1. Had a fantastic stay in walberswick . House was perfect and very easy to settle into with great communication with the owners and detailed information on how everything works in a folder in the house .
House is located in the centre of walberswick just a short walk from the sea, playground, shops and pubs.
Me and my boys loved our stay here . Thanks .
